EUV and X-ray spectra of the solar corona and transition region for the non-thermal electron distributions – synthetic spectra and diagnostics

EUV and X-ray spectra are an important source of information about physical properties of the corona and transition region. The emissivity of the spectral lines influences except the temperature and electron density also the shape of the electron distribution function. The electron distribution can show appreciable deviation from the Maxwell distribution in the conditions of the solar corona and the transition region. It is possible to show that the shape of the distribution function can affect the ionization and excitation equilibrium. The modification of CHIANTI software and database for non-thermal distributions can be used for computation of the synthetic spectra and for searching of the spectral lines suitable for diagnostics of the parameters of the non-thermal distribution. The application of the non-thermal diagnostics of plasma parameters using the X-ray flare spectra is presented.
